Terms and conditions

These terms apply to every order placed through politicalidioms.com. Last updated 11 August 2026.

1. Who we are

Political Idioms is a trading name of [COMPANY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales (company number [NUMBER]) with a registered office at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. VAT registration number [VAT NUMBER]. Contact us at [email protected].

2. Placing an order

Adding items to your basket and completing checkout is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send your order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and refund you in full.

3. Prices and payment

  • All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the prevailing UK rate.
  • Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay.
  • Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • If a price is listed incorrectly we will contact you before proceeding and you may cancel.

4. Made to order

Items are produced after your order is placed, which is why delivery takes seven to ten days. This does not affect your statutory rights, which are set out in our returns policy.

5. Delivery

We deliver within the United Kingdom only. Risk passes to you on delivery. Timings are estimates and not guarantees, though we will always tell you if something has slipped. See the delivery page for detail.

6. Returns and cancellation

Your rights are set out in full on the returns page, which forms part of these terms.

7. Accounts

You do not need an account to order. If you create one, keep your password confidential and tell us immediately if you think it has been compromised. We may suspend an account that is being used unlawfully.

8. Colours and descriptions

We photograph products as accurately as we can, but screens vary and natural fibres take dye differently between batches. Slight variation is not a fault.

9. Intellectual property

All designs, graphics, photography and text on this site belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.

10. Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of your order. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
