Your legal right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you may cancel your order within fourteen days of receiving it, without giving a reason. Our returns window follows that right.

This right does not apply to goods that have been genuinely personalised to your own specification — for example a name or a custom graphic you supplied. Standard catalogue items in a standard colour and size are always returnable.

How to return something

Wherever you are in the world, returns come back to our UK address.

1. Email [email protected] with your order number and what you are sending back.
2. We will reply within one working day to confirm the return.
3. Repack the item with its tags attached and post it to Political Idioms, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.

Return postage is at your own cost, for UK and USA orders alike. Use a tracked service if you can — the item is your responsibility until it reaches us. If the item is faulty or we sent you the wrong thing, we cover the cost of getting it back instead.

Condition

Items must be unworn, unwashed and in a saleable condition with the original tags attached. Trying something on to check the fit is fine — wearing it out is not. We may reduce a refund to reflect handling beyond what is necessary to establish the fit.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method within five working days of the item reaching us, including the standard delivery charge you originally paid. If you chose a faster delivery option, we refund the standard rate. The postage you paid to send the item back is not refunded unless it was faulty or wrongly supplied.

Exchanges

We do not swap items directly, because each one is made after it is ordered. If the size is wrong, tell us and we will start your replacement as soon as the return is booked so you are not waiting twice.

Faulty or wrong items

If something arrives faulty, damaged or simply not what you ordered, email us with a photograph and your order number. We will replace it or refund it in full, including any delivery charges, and you will not be out of pocket.

Cancelling before dispatch

Because production starts quickly, email us as soon as possible. If we have not begun cutting, we will cancel and refund in full straight away.
